About

Hi, I’m Amy,

I live with my husband and two boys in North East England. We are caretakers of a big old hall, set in a private woodland. It is my little piece of heaven.

We are a home educating / unschooling family. You will usually find us in the forest, with baskets of treasure and the kettle bubbling away.

Things that make me happy; tea, campfires, empty beaches, autumn, books, long walks, knitting, adventures, tearooms, cozy socks, the smell of woodsmoke, sleepy seaside villages, you get the idea.

You see, I think we live in a world that has the potential for such magic. I believe we are here to experience joy, love and happiness. We are here to make magic. We are creators.

But I also know we live in a world where there is sadness, bad things happen, some days it seems never ending. We are tired and overworked, born into a work where productivity and busyness is valued over connection and love. Our society is facing testing times, some days we feel helpless, like there is no hope.

I have experienced both. I have created both. I have experienced depression, suffered with anxiety for a long time. I’ve had days where I felt I didn’t want to be here anymore but I have also had days where I see magic everywhere I go. I am hopeful. I believe we can create anything we want to, that we deserve to have everything we dream of, that this world we live in is created from miracles and wonder.

My blog is my focus on the latter.

A journey for finding simple joys, slowing down and appreciating each and every moment. Living mindfully and spiritually. Focusing on all the good things, and discovering ways to make those bad days not so bad at all.

I want to share this magic with you, maybe inspire you and help you to do the same.
